Scripted dialogues and textbook sentences, years away from what you hear on the street.
The slang, memes, personalities, references and local knowledge only natives have. All missing.
No clear way to know how well you understand the language in the wild, or whether you’re learning the right words first.
We curate real short-form content that native speakers already watch, so you learn from language that actually exists in the wild, while making the process genuinely entertaining.

Our method prioritises the most frequent words first, helping you understand more with less time. Every word carries a rank for how often natives actually use it.
Your progress is tied to how much real-world language you can understand, not just how many lessons you’ve completed.

We also curate the cultural knowledge behind the language: the references, people, concepts and moments that help you understand what locals mean, why they find something funny, and what they grew up knowing.
Tap a sticker. These are a few of the things everyone there grew up knowing.
Club YAP is an iOS app that teaches you a language through short, authentic native-speaker videos instead of flashcards or grammar drills. You watch a feed of real videos in the language you’re learning, tap any word for its meaning, and take quick multiple-choice quizzes that check whether the key phrases stuck.
